Reports from past residents describe the headstone at the Springhouse "Issac Carpenter a 13 years old boy who was killed in a Native American raid while hiring a field to the south west, is supposedly buried. There's a narrow headstone with the name hand chiseled in it."

The Springhouse includes a cornerstone with the original owners names and year of construction.
